Dean Jane Close Conoley of UC Santa Barbara’s Gevirtz School discusses public education on Schools of Thought television program
Throughout the month of January Dr. Jane Close Conoley, Dean of the Gevirtz School at UC Santa Barbara, will discuss education on the local television show Schools of Thought. In the spirit of adult education, Schools of Thought, hosted by County Superintendent of Schools Bill Cirone, aims to showcase individuals and ideas that will prove provocative and informative for members of our community. On the half-hour program Dean Conoley covers, in a clear and informative way, a broad range of topics from the services and programs of the Gevirtz Graduate School of Education to issues in public education.
Dean Conoley says, “I so appreciate the chance to discuss the issues facing educators and families in California with someone as well informed as Bill Cirone. The Gevirtz School is committed to important partnerships that will make a difference for children – especially those children who are not being well served by current educational practices.”
