Collie Conoley of UC Santa Barbara's Gevirtz School to present on positive psychology to teachers in Singapore and Hong Kong

Collie Conoley, a professor in the Department of Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology at UC Santa Barbara's Gevirtz School, will present papers in both Hong Kong and Singapore on facilitating learning through the application of research in positive psychology to teachers and teachers in preparation. He will present in Hong Kong to the Institute of Education and in Singapore to over 200 teachers at the Singapore National Institute of Education.

Conoley will also be a consultant to the Chinese University of Hong Kong on establishing metrics to judge faculty quality. Dean Leung Seung Ming of The Chinese University of Hong Kong wrote that Conley will be "helping us as an external expert. His presence in HK early November will be instrumental in developing an understanding of the procedure and the objectives of the assessment exercise."

Dr. Collie Conoley is the Director of the recently founded Carol Ackerman Positive Psychology Clinic, part of the Hosford Counseling & Psychological Services Clinic at UC Santa Barbara. Among his many publications is the book Positive Psychology and Family Therapy: Creative Techniques and Practical Tools for Guiding Change and Enhancing Growth (Wiley 2009), co-authored with Dr. Jane Close Conoley. Collie Conoley is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association. In 2012 he received the American Psychological Association (APA) Annual Award for Distinguished Contributions to Positive Psychology.
