Prior to joining the Center for School-Based Youth Development, Dr. Sharkey gained extensive experience at various levels of research, including project management of a state Challenge grant evaluation, participant contact and family interviewer at the Oregon Social Learning Center, and data management at the Oregon Research Institute.
Professional engagement is important to Dr. Sharkey. To enhance connections with colleagues and mentors, Dr. Sharkey participated in two competitive early career scholar initiatives, the School Psychology Research Collaboration Conference and the Child and Adolescent Psychopathology Research Initiative.
