TEAWET will also be integrated into the curriculum for 65 teacher candidates in the Gevirtz Graduate School of Education Teacher Education Program. The content of the program will be watershed education, expanded from 6th and 7th grade in Year One to 5th through 8 grade in the proposed Year Two. An ongoing series of inquiry-based experiences and interventions with teachers will demonstrate how to conduct field and classroom watershed education and how to use the watershed as a context for interdisciplinary teaching. TEAWET will 1.) emphasize the implementation of strategies in the classroom and in the field, 2.) help teachers select the curriculum ans resources best suited to their individual needs, and 3.) provide evidence of actual implementation by teachers.
