Department of Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology (CCSP)

Graduate Studies / CCSP / Welcome from the CCSP Chair

Welcome from the Department Chair

Merith CosdenIt is a true privilege to serve as the Chair the Department of Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology in the Gevirtz Graduate School of Education. We are accredited by the American Psychological Association as a combined training program for doctoral students in counseling, clinical, and school psychology, as well as by the National Association for School Psychologists for our training of students in that specialization. In addition to our doctoral program we offer a M.Ed. in School Psychology and oversee the Applied Psychology track within the Education & Applied Psychology Minor for undergraduates, available through the Gevirtz Graduate School of Education. We provide a scientist-practitioner model of training, mentoring our students through ongoing research and clinical activities. We are very proud of the bright, diverse students we educate, and view them as the best part of our program. We also provide community services through our Hosford Psychological Services Clinic, the Psychology Assessment Center, and the Koegel Autism Center.

I invite you to peruse our web site for additional information.

Sincerely,

Merith Cosden
Professor and Chair
