of children and adolescents who are at-risk or experiencing
emotional and behavior problems; school safety; school violence;
anger, hostility, and aggression in youth; and coordinated
system of care for youth with EBD.
Shane Jimerson, Ph.D., Professor
Research Interests: Developmental psychopathology, designing
early reading assessment, achievement trajectories, outcomes
associated with early grade retention, the development of
high school dropouts, the efficacy of early intervention programs,
and children's grief and adaptation in response to a loss.
Gale Morrison, Ph.D., Professor ( Dean, UCSB
Graduate Division)
Research Interests: Risk and resilience of students who have
learning and adaptation problems in schools, focusing on school
adaptation trajectories. Early prevention of behavioral problems
and juvenile delinquency. School system contexts, especially
school discipline and school safety with implications for
school reform.
