Available Financial Assistance
for Teacher Education Program Students
2006-2007

There are three kinds of financial assistance sources available to support credential candidates in the Teacher Education Program at UCSB: (1) state money, (3) university money, (3) privately funded fellowships and scholarships.

For all applications:

In addition to writing a letter that addresses the specifics of each award for which you are applying, you will attach the following information to each award application:

  • Describe your financial obligations, loans, debts, and any financial support you are currently receiving.
  • Describe what you perceive to be your strengths as a professional educator. As well, describe what you perceive to be the challenges you may face in your career.

STATE

Assumption Program for Loans in Education (APLE)

  • All students admitted to TEP already received information regarding the APLE.
  • All applicants who applied by the deadline have been nominated for the APLE.
