First S.T.E.P.

Screening & Training Education Program

Screening Information

 

Are you concerned about your child? We offer screenings for children under the age of six who live in Santa Barbara County.

 

To set up a screening for your child:

  • Call First S.T.E.P. at (805) 893-2049 or e-mail firststep@education.ucsb.edu.
  • Ask for Ty Vernon or Amber Miller.
  • Provide your information and contact number.
  • Screenings are typically scheduled within 2 weeks
  • Free screenings for infants 3-18 months of age are conducted by Jessica Bradshaw and funded by the Autism Science Foundation. Read more here.
