Clinical Services

Koegel Autism Center
Families with with a child with autism that live in Santa Barbara, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo counties may set up services through a regional center. In this program, clincians will train you in pivotal response treatment and help design a program that meets your family’s needs. For more information, see the Center’s webpage.


Hosford Counseling and Psychological Services Clinic
Residents of Santa Barbara and Ventura counties, as well as UCSB faculty and staff, may receive mental health and career counseling services at the Hosford Clinic. All services are offered on a sliding scale basis (insurances are not accepted). Clinicians work with children, adolescents, and adults in individual, family, and group therapy settings. Psychology Assessment Center
Area residents may use PAC to provide psychological assessment services for the measurement of disorders that affect psychological, emotional, academic, and occupational functioning. Testing is comprehensive in nature, consisting of multimethod assessment of personality, contextual, neuro psychological, and intellectual factors. Services are offered on a sliding scale basis (insurances are not accepted). For more information, see the Center’s webpage.


Eli and Edythe L. Broad Center for Asperger Research
In June 2007 the Eli and Edythe L. Broad Foundation established, within the Koegel Autism Center, a new center of excellence for Asperger research. The purpose and function of the Center is to develop and refine the Koegel’s research-based model for intervention and support for children and Adults with Asperger’s Syndrome. The Center is conducting research and intervention with the purpose of developing a model that can be disseminated nationally, and is moving toward the long-term goal of becoming the largest and most comprehensive clearinghouse in the world on intervention for Asperger’s Syndrome.
