Instructions for submitting manuscripts to the Journal of School Violence:
1. Email a MS-Word version of your manuscript to: jsv@education.ucsb.edu
2. Please DO NOT mail hard copies of your manuscript.
3. Manuscript Submission Checklist
- Carefully use APA-style formatting
- one-inch margins on all sides
- Double space everything
- Page limit maximum 25-30 pages (this includes everything counting from cover to the last page)
- 12-point font (Times New Roman preferred)
- Avoid the use of footnotes
- Tables/Figures in APA format, after References
- Cover page should include contact information for the corresponding author (address, e-mail, phone, and fax)
4. Why the page limit? Each issue has a specific number of pages. I am asking authors to thoughtfully edit their works because this will allow more high-quality manuscripts to be published and will thereby benfit everyone.
5. Forms and requested format examples are available using the download button on the left.
6. Use APA manuscript preparation format. Please attend to this format very carefully, including citations and reference list. Also, please follow APA style in formatting tabular items. Manuscripts that are not in acceptable APA format will be returned to the authors for corrections. See http://www.apastyle.org and the submission button on the left.
