Carol Ackerman Positive Psychology Center

Positive Psychology uses your strengths to overcome roadblocks and engage in a more joyful, courageous, meaningful life! A good life is more than decreasing problems. Dare to thrive!! The purpose of the Carol Ackerman Positive Psychology Center is to provide services that help build strong, healthy individuals and families in our community, as well as provide state of the art research and training in applied Positive Psychology. Positive psychology interventions focus on accomplishing goals (not focusing on problems) by enhancing clients' strengths to achieve solutions. The Center for Postive Psychology offers Positive Psychology therapy for children and adults. We offer individual, group, couple, and family services. Services include:

Mission

The mission of the Center for Positive Psychology is to facilitate existing human strengths that promote meaningful, engaged, enjoyable life. Experiencing ongoing well being and preventing future mental health problems is our goal. Grounded in the science of positive psychology, the psychological services promote individual, family, and community thriving. Prevention and remediation services include cultivating courage, creativity, optimism, interpersonal skill, faith, work ethic, hope, honesty, perseverance, and the capacity for flow and insight.

Director
