Melissa Morgan Consoli invited keynote speaker at the Second International Conference of Psychology in Mexico City

Melissa Morgan Consoli of UC Santa Barbara’s Gevirtz School was the invited keynote speaker at the 2do Congreso Internacional de Psicologia (Second International Conference of Psychology), February 15-17 in Mexico City, Mexico, put on by the Universidad Nacional Autonomia De Mexico, Faculty De Estudios Superiores Zaragosa. Consoli gave the talk “Resiliencia, superarse y bienestar en los latino/as en EEUU: Como Pueden promoverse? (Resilience, thriving and wellbeing in U.S. Latino/as: How do we promote?).”

Melissa Morgan Consoli is an Associate Professor in the Department of Counseling, Clinical and School Psychology. All of her research is conducted through a social justice lens, using qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods designs as well as community based research paradigms. Her goal is for research to be culturally relevant, informative in the development of prevention and other community programs, and useful in addressing societal issues of concern for the populations with whom she works.
