About
Us The
Psychology Assessment Center (PAC) is a clinical and research resource of the
Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology Program in the Department of Education
at UCSB. It is a service of the Ray E.
Hosford Clinic, located on the UCSB campus. Services PAC provides
psychological assessment services for the measurement of disorders that
affect psychological, emotional, academic, and occupational functioning. These include: ·
Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity
Disorder ·
Learning Disabilities including
dyslexia ·
Depression and anxiety ·
Neurocognitive disorders including
nonverbal learning disabilities ·
Psychosis and thought disorders ·
Personality disorders Testing is
comprehensive in nature, consisting of multimethod assessment of personality,
contextual, neuropsychological, and intellectual factors. Who
We Serve ·
Children
5 years and older. ·
Adults
under the age of 65 years. ·
At
this time, we can only conduct assessments in English. Our
Clinicians All
assessments will be completed by graduate students in the Counseling,
Clinical, and School Psychology program at UCSB. All student work will be closely supervised
by Dr. Steve Smith, licensed clinical psychologist (PSY20096). Research The PAC is a
research center, designed to assess the quality and function of
neuropsychological and personality assessment measures while providing a
much-needed clinical service to the community. PAC clients will be asked to include their
test scores in our research database.
No identifying information will be included. Inclusion in the database is completely
voluntary and the same clinical services will be provided whether or not the
client chooses to participate.
