Talk Technology

image of Linda Terie MaryJoin us on an on-going discussion about integrating technology and 21st century litercies into the classroom. We will meet several times throughout the school year to discuss the needs of teachers, the present conditions of the classroom, definitions of technology, technical skill, and 21st century literacy. You don't have to be technically savvy to contribute to this conversation. We're a small group of SCWriP fellows with a diverse range of technical experience, from none (but interested) to highly skilled and adept. For more information, contact Linda Sparkuhl Teri Cota, or Mary Lourdes Silva.

Technology Workshops

July 27-July 30, 2009

image of laptopAre you looking for an opportunity to strengthen your technology skills for use in the classroom? We are offering an amazing week of sessions designed specifically for teachers who want to learn more about how to integrate technology into their classrooms, especially as part of writing instruction. This is a chance to work with teacher consultants in small groups to learn, create, and develop technology infused techniques and projects. Classes are designed for the beginner to the advanced, with a variety of topics. Whether you are a Mac or PC user, elementary or secondary school teacher, or college instructor, there is something for everyone!

Class size is limited. Register by July 10, 2009 to secure a spot. Complete the following REGISTRATION FORM and email it to: 4scwrip@education.ucsb.edu. For further information, call the SCWriP office at (805) 893-4422 or email 4scwrip@education.ucsb.edu
