SCWriP Office Staff

Image of DionneDionne Van Meter is the new Program Assistant for the SCWriP office. She received a BA degree from UC Berkeley in fine art. She has taught children’s art classes in the Bay Area and in Santa Barbara. She has worked since 2000 as Program Assistant for CECIMS (Center for Educational Change in Mathematics and Science) in the Gevirtz Graduate School of Education.

Image of AlyssaAlyssa Williams has recently joined the SCWriP family as the new Student Assistant. She is responsible for answering the phones, emails, and other odd jobs around the office. She is also responsible for handling the registration for Young Writer’s Camp and some of the events put on by SCWriP.

She is an undergraduate student studying Theater at UCSB, and hails from Bakersfield, CA: “I am honored and privileged to work with the South Coast Writing Project, even though I am not the greatest writer and I actually needed help writing this biography! Nonetheless, I’m just glad I get to work and live in a city where you can’t cook eggs on the sidewalk during summer.”
