UCEC–UC Davis
UCEC–Davis is housed in the School of Education, which is committed to work that integrates research and practice, promotes interdisciplinary collaboration, and engages with state policymakers, practitioners, and community partners. The Davis site is directed by Dr. Michal Kurlaender with support from graduate student researchers including Manuelito Biag.
A Message from Dr. Michal Kurlaender, Site Director, UCEC–Davis
Effective educational evaluation capitalizes on multiple disciplinary and methodological approaches. The UCEC–Davis site offers connections to faculty and graduate students working on important topics in education from across the School of Education and from the economics, sociology, and human and community development departments. Our proximity to Sacramento affords us a unique ability to connect our evaluation work to policymakers and other state stakeholders. In addition, we partner with various other centers including the Center for Cooperative Research and Extension Services for Schools (CRESS).
