UCSB’s Social Science Survey Center (SSSC) will serve as an essential resource for the UCEC. The SSSC has the capacity to create and implement survey designs critical to many evaluation efforts, including the development of local, state, and national sampling frames; online survey technologies; secure servers; as well as both automated and manual phone banks for follow-up inquiries. The leadership of the Survey Center, Dr. John Mohr and Dr. Paolo Gardinali, has expertise in novel modes of data acquisition, including social networking and data mining, as well as strong connections to other survey research centers.
