Programming to help adolescents navigate social relationships and the upcoming transition to adult life.
Social Tools And Rules for Teens (START Program)
The Koegel Autism Center is currently offering a 20-week group socialization program for adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and other social challenges. New cycles begin twice a year.
Geared for ages 12-17, the START Program focuses on experience-based learning in an engaging social club environment with snacks, group games and activities, high school and college-aged peer mentors, and both group and individualized social skill targets.
Each 90-minute session features (a) individual check-in sessions, (b) free socialization time to work on individual skill targets, (c) a topic discussion, role-play/video, and practice, (d) a structured group activity, and (e) a check-out session with parents to give feedback and set weekly goals. Sessions are being offered for a $50/week fee.

Social Tools And Rules for Transitions
We also have a START Program for young adults, ages 18-25. This is currently a research study, therefore there is no fee for this group. This group will meet weekly from 4:30 to 6:30pm on Thursdays, and the next cycle will begin early summer 2019. Please email email@example.com or call (805) 893-2049 to schedule an intake session!
