Santa Barbara Public Library and Santa Barbara Poet Laureate Laure-Anne Bosselaar invite the community to join in a new local celebration of National Poetry Month—the virtual “Fave-a-Day” readings. Usually, April is filled with readings and gatherings, and the goal of “Fave-a-Day” is to keep the spirit of community and connection through a shared love of poetry alive while also keeping everyone safe. With that in mind, area poets, librarians, and local officials are each reading a favorite poem (written by another person) in videos shared by the Library throughout the month of April.
The poems, which will be posted daily Monday-Friday, can most easily be accessed on The Library's YouTube Channel.
