Gevirtz Graduate School of Education Teacher Education Program students Natalia Alvarado (single subject credential, English), Tessa Hutchison (single subject credential, Mathematics), Emily McLaughlin-Montero (multiple subject credential candidate, K-6), Kelsey Maganaris (special education, mild/moderate credential candidate), Eliane Nascimento (special education, extensive support needs credential candidate), and Hollyn Toomey (special education, mild/moderate credential candidate), are the 2020 recipients of the President’s Educator Fellowship. All are also working on completing their M.Ed.

The University of California Office of the President established these fellowships to fund UC students who plan to work in high-need California public schools that serve students from low-income families. These awards acknowledge the promise they have demonstrated to be exceptional teachers.
