Fourteen students from the Gevirtz School will participate in Preliminary Round 10 of the 2023 UC Santa Barbara Grad Slam on Thursday, March 16 at 1 pm in the Mosher Alumni House. (Note: Event was rescheduled from an earlier date that was potponed due to inclement weather.) Eight students from the Department of Education and six from the Department of Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology (CCSP) will have the chance to tell the campus about their research or share their thoughts on big ideas that matter, in just a three-minute talk.

The presentations are free and open to the public.

Over $1,500 in prize money will be given out each round, including:

  • $1,000 for 1st place and advancement to the Final Round on April 14
  • $500 for the runner up
  • $25 gift cards for raffled off for all other presenters (5 per round)
