Kevin DeLucio

 Kevin DeLucio of UC Santa Barbara’s Gevirtz School was awarded a travel grant by the National Latina/o Psychological Association (NLPA) to attend the conference “Dreamers, Immigration, & Social Justice: Advancing a Global Latina/o Psychology Agenda.” The biennial conference takes place October 23-25 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. DeLucio will be co-presenting papers on “ Exploring Thriving and Discrimination Through a Qualitative Approach” and “The Santa Barbara Wellness Project: Snapshot of a Formative Evaluation and Curriculum Reconstruction.”

The National Latina/o Psychological Association’s mission is to advance psychological education and training, scientific practice and organizational change to enhance the overall well-being of Hispanic and Latina/o populations.

Kevin DeLucio is a doctoral student in the Department of Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology at the Gevirtz School. He specializes in counseling psychology, and his interests are in multicultural counseling, specifically working with Latina/o, LGBTQ, and Queer People of Color populations.
