GGSE: What makes you want to focus on autism in your professional journey and your dissertation?

Kaylin: Since I was in high school, I knew that I wanted to focus on making society a better place for those who are underserved. Many people in my family are neurodivergent and it has led me to dedicate my career to helping neurodivergent people feel supported.

GGSE: How has being a part of the GGSE graduate community shaped your academic and professional journey?

Kaylin: I am forever grateful for the clinical opportunities that I have had in GGSE. Working at the Koegel Autism Center, PCIT clinic, and Calm have allowed me to work with amazing clients whom I have learned so much from. I have grown as a clinician and a person because of these clients. Additionally, the lasting friendships and professional relationships that I have made in GGSE are ones that I will always cherish.
