Ann Bumby

Ann Bumby is a continuing lecturer and supervisor within the Multiple-Subject cohort of the Teacher Education Program (TEP) at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Ann also serves as the Associate Director of TEP.

Ann is a graduate of UCSB’s Teacher Education Program (’10) and holds a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and a Master of Education degree. She taught fifth and sixth grades locally for eight years before transitioning to her current roles within TEP. Her professional passions include nature-based and outdoor learning, supporting all students through individualized curriculum design, and fostering classroom communities grounded in joy, play, and literature.
