UC Santa Barbara Gevirtz School Professor Danielle Harlow and alumni Miles Ashlock and Don Lubach been nominated for 2020 Margaret T. Getman Service to Students Awards. Named in honor of the former UCSB Dean of Student Residents, Margaret T. Getman, these annual awards recognize university staff and faculty that have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to the general growth and development of students and the quality of student life.

Danielle Harlow is a Professor in the Department of Education and Associate Dean for Academic Programs and Faculty Development. Harlow’s work focuses on science and engineering education for elementary school children and teachers and the role that informal science environments can play in children’s and teachers’ learning. Miles Ashlock (Education, MA, ’11) is Acting Associate Dean & Director, Office of Student Life. Don Lubach (Education, Ph.D., ’97), is UC Santa Barbara’s Associate Ombuds.

The nominees and award recipients will be honored with a reception Thursday, June 4th a at the Student Affairs Divisional Webinar.
