2014 Grad Slam contestants

UC Santa Barbara’s Gevirtz School will hold its first in-house Grad Slam on Thursday, April 2 from 6 – 8 pm in Education 1217. Refreshments will be provided. This non-competitive event will allow for each participant to present a project, practice, or idea—in three minutes or less. Up to 25 students will be selected to present. Selections will be made based on when students register and equity across graduate programs (CCSP, Education, and TEP). The GGSE Grad Slam will allow our graduate students to share their incredible work with the rest of the GGSE community.

Interested students should register for the GGSE Grad Slam at: bit.ly/1aIQURT. For questions contact: Jin Sook Lee (jslee@education.ucsb.edu) — Education; Tine Sloan (tine@education.ucsb.edu) — TEP; or Tania Israel (tisrael@education.ucsb.edu) — CCSP. All presenters receive a $20 gift certificate.

The campus-wide, competitive Grand Slam begins April 6, and students must register for it by March 6. See gradpost.ucsb.edu/grad-slam-2015 for details. Over $13,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded on the campus level.
