Alison Cerezo from UC Santa Barbara’s Gevirtz School is moderating the forum “Coming Together Around the Emotional Wellbeing of Lesbian, Bisexual, and Queer Women of Color” sponsored by The Los Angeles County Lesbian, Bisexual, and Queer Women's Health Collaborative. The open forum is taking place on Tuesday, December 1st from 2:30-4 pm PST and centers on emotional well-being and the intersectionality between LBQ Status and race/ethnicity. The forum is open exclusively to self-identified lesbian, bisexual, and queer women of color. Interested participants can register here to receive an invitation on the day of the event.
Along with Cerezo, the forum will be facilitated by Elizabeth Aranda, UC Berkley; Konjit Page, Fielding Graduate University; and Laura Minero, UCLA.
Alison Cerezo is an Assistant Professor of Counseling Psychology in the Department of Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology. She received her B.A. in Psychology and Women & Gender Studies (double majors) from UC Los Angeles; M.A. degree in Psychology, Research Emphasis from CSU Los Angeles; and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Oregon. Prior to joining the faculty at UCSB, Dr. Cerezo was an Associate Professor in the Department of Counseling, College of Health and Social Sciences, San Francisco State University where she coordinated the College Student Personnel Counseling Specialization (2013-2018) and served as Affiliate Faculty with the Health Equity Institute.
