Jon Goodwin of UC Santa Barbara’s Gevirtz School has received a 2021 40 Under 40 Award from Dillard University. The award is intended to honor and acknowledge the accomplishments of Dillard University’s young professional alumni who demonstrate excellence in their field, to their community, or for the world. Goodwin studied at Dillard as an undergraduate, earning a BA in psychology in 2011.
“I am so humbled to be a recipient of this year’s 40 Under 40 Award from my alma mater, Dillard University,” Goodwin said in a post on LinkedIn. “My time at Dillard was transformative, and it continues to impact me today. My personal resilience, sense of self-efficacy, confidence in my abilities, and respect for my heritage were all nurtured on the radiant campus of this august HBCU in New Orleans, Louisiana. Had I not gone to this incredible place, received incredible mentorship, and been encouraged by the amazing people there, I would not be who I am now.”
